Michael Jackson visits South Korea for investment talks.

Seoul, Nov 18:

Pop star Michael Jackson quietly arrived in South Korea on Tuesday, not for a concert, but to discuss investment in troubled underwear maker Ssangbangwool Ltd’s ski resort, a company spokesman said.

The “King of Pop” would spend the night at the Muju Ski Resort in the southwest and tour the complex on Wednesday, the spokesman said.

"Michael Jackson has come to Korea to discuss the possibility of investing in Muju Resort," said a company spokesman, but no further details on talks between the pop star and Ssangbangwool were available.

The spokesman said Ssangbangwool had planned to expand the resort complex to include a theme park, but said the plans were put on hold when the company faced financial troubles.

Ssangbangwool ran into financial trouble after Ssangbangwool Development Co Ltd, the operator of Muju Resort, had problems repaying debts.
