近日，美國路易斯安那和明尼蘇達州發生兩起員警開槍打死黑人事件，激起全美各地民怨沸騰，多地發動遊行示威，示威地點更遠至倫敦。於是，倫敦時間7月8日，大批市民聚集市中心，他們高舉Black Lives Matter“黑人的命很重要”示威牌，高唱邁克爾傑克遜經典反種族主義歌曲《他們不在乎我們》（They Don't Care About Us）！！……MJ的抗議之聲從未如此有力，他的影響力從未消減！

也許我們該終於來聽聽邁克爾傑克遜了—— #BlackLivesMatter （“黑人的命很重要”）
“其他所有的名人呢？”
這是許多支持“黑人的命很重要”抗議運動的人在問的。在巨大的騷亂面前，一些人覺得他們缺少那些擁有世界巨大媒體平臺資源的人的領導。
在Michael Brown和Eric Garner被害後的大陪審團決定出爐後，許多黑人演員和音樂人公開發表了他們的悲傷和失望。John Legend雇傭了食品卡車給紐約的抗議者們送餐。嘻哈明星J. Cole加入了遊行。費城說唱歌手Chill Moody寫了一首歌，叫《We're Worth More》（我們值得更多）。
但那些超級明星好像並未開始行動。菲董Pharrell的言論遠難讓人滿意。脫口秀女王奧普拉去哪了？Tyler Perry去哪了？Beyonce去哪了？這是過去幾周我在看推特更新時，心中充滿的疑問。
我認為，真正的問題不是冷漠，而是擔憂和恐懼。藝人們擔心選擇政治立場會危及他們的事業和名譽。任何政治聲明都會有反彈，並會付出代價。而藝人的事業要取決於公司的施捨，從唱片公司到贊助商再到電臺。
Questlove曾在他的Instagram上這樣寫道：“我敦促並叫板音樂人和藝人們，要讓自己成為當今時代的代言人。我知道許多人看到了發生在Dixie Chicks組合主唱Natalie Maines身上的事情（她勇敢地對布希政府表達了觀點和失望，結果捲入論戰並被不公平地當做了靶子……然而後來她卻被認為是正確的），忽然間藝人們在電臺裡就突然被消音。”
在2003年事件後，Dixie Chicks組合失去了大公司的支持，她們的歌曲被從電臺撤下， 她們的唱片銷量也暴跌。那麼想像一下，如果哪個藝人再將政治聲言作為他們作品的中心的話，他們的命運會如何？”
邁克爾傑克遜從來不害怕站出來說出他看到的真相。我們總是能把傑克遜算作一個全球領袖，為我們感覺到的一切代言。他的成人作品集就是一個社會行動主義的寶庫，涉及饑荒、艾滋、戰爭、幫派暴力、種族關係、環保等等。是傑克遜為飽受戰爭摧殘的塞拉耶佛舉辦演唱會，是傑克遜為9/11恐怖襲擊受害者召集演唱了慈善歌曲和舉辦了演唱會。是傑克遜在使用他全球影響力的每一分每一毫來做出改變。他總是在那裡。
發生在傑克遜身上的事情遠比失去銷量要嚴重得多。在面對權勢說出真相時，傑克遜讓自己成為了靶子，並受到了打擊。最厲害的攻擊莫過於加州的白人檢察官花了12年時間來追訴他“孌童”，最後卻在法庭上證明一切子烏虛有。
沒人去把線索連接在一起：一個非常有話語權，非常有影響力，非常富有的黑人被一個白人檢察官用虛假指控搞倒了。
是的，對傑克遜來說，他被失語了。他失去了贊助商，並面臨Questlove提及的財務問題。關於對他白癜風（後來被驗屍報告證明）的質疑，和關於漂白皮膚的指責，讓他失去了一些支持者。他的同輩藝人避之不及，他抗議唱片東家搞陰謀的說辭被媒體普遍嘲笑。“我們大多數人對他背過身去，”麥當娜在傑克遜去世後說道。
1996年，傑克遜找來斯派克李為他的《他們不在乎我們》（They Don't Care About Us）拍攝錄影。你差點永遠都看不到它，因為美國電視臺禁播了它。美國的電臺也不願意播放它，因為它被指責使用了“種族主義”的歌詞。
這首歌，大部分，其實是回應1992年黑人Rodney King遭遇員警暴力，警官卻無罪開脫。同時這首歌也是回應他自己在1993年遭遇的羞辱和員警暴行。今天，當你回頭去讀那些對這首歌的批評之聲，你會搖頭，難以相信當時的虛偽。很明顯，對當時的一些當權者來說，這是一首為危險的歌，反對它的聲浪不過是試圖轉移人們的視線。
我們所需要的，正如Questlove不久前說的那樣，是“有靈魂的歌曲。有解決方案的歌曲。有質疑之聲的歌曲。抗議的歌曲並不一定很無趣，也不一定不能跟著跳舞……但它們必須要說出真相。”
在推特上， #TheyDontCareAboutUs （他們不在乎我們）是一個標籤。在弗格森，他們將這首邁克爾傑克遜瘋狂放出車窗外。上週末，在紐約市和伯克利，抗議者們合唱了這首歌。在巴爾的摩，摩根州立大學合唱團帶來了一個神奇的瞬間，他們用演唱傑克遜的《治癒世界》（Heal The World）來回應抗議。
代價已經付出，但支票還未兌現。也許我們終於需要來聽聽邁克爾傑克遜。

Michael Jackson’s message through today’s society

It is sad to say that today, more than ever, Michael Jackson’s message is still current and more so his message is still used to put a voice to the voiceless.
The world has experienced and continues to experience more terror, death and hatred than a decade ago. With the disgusting terrorist attacks on our neighbourhoods like in Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Baghdad, people around the world are asking for peace. In every one of those cities attacked, people gathered together and started to sing, which can be seen as our anthem for peace: ‘Heal The World’!
The song was released on November 23, 1992 and the lyrics of the songs are still today in context of our society’s issues.

The song was also sang for the victims of the homophobic terrorist attack in Orlando. It is clear that the message has no color, gender or religion!
‘Heal The World’, ‘Man In The Mirror’, ‘Keep The Faith’, ‘What More Can I Give’, ‘Cry’, ‘We had enough’ and ‘We are the World’ are songs that people around the world are relating to! All with a powerful message.
The hatred doesn’t stop there! America is experiencing struggles with racial behaviour! With the killing of many black citizens across the country, a movement has emerged called ‘Black lives matter’, which focuses on the fact that Black Lives Matter TOO.
People around the world have supported the movement ‘Black lives matter’ like here in London. One of the messages that was put through the street was “They Don’t Care About Us”. Michael Jackson denounced this matter over 25 years ago and still today, people are singing the same anthem in the streets around the world!

A week ago, people marched in the street of London holding ‘Black lives matter’ banners and singing Michael Jackson’s ‘They Don’t Care About Us’:

During an interview for Iconic Magazine, Spike Lee revealed that the first section of the video which takes place in prison, was to draw attention to the fact that most of the jails in America are filled with Black men, who he believes are the victims of racial oppression.
Knowing this, the video could be released today and would be still relevant – even more, you could
rename it “Black Lives Matter”:
It is clear that Michael Jackson was more than a pop star! More than a dancer! More than a singer! More than an Entertainer! He was clearly the voice of the people! The voice of the disadvantaged! The voice of the oppressed! He was the message carrier of our time!
“I realised that many of our world’s problems today – from the inner city crime, to large scale wars and terrorism, and our overcrowded prisons – are a result of the fact that children have had their childhood stolen from them.
