Donations from event to honor internationally renowned Brazilian artist,Romero Britto, will go to Oneness, Make-A-Wish and E Ai Como E Que Fica
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Charity Oneness will offer its
last golden tickets to fans around the world on-line at EBay on Monday,
September 8, 2003. As a gesture of appreciation for the support they showed
over the years, Mr. Jackson hopes to make Neverland Valley Ranch more
accessible for this event on a global basis.
The celebration honoring pop artist Romero Britto, and the recent birthday
of Michael Jackson, will be hosted on September 13, 2003 at Michael Jackson's
Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara , California .
Celebrity and VIP guests will also have the availability of a private jet
at a nominal cost that will offer roundtrips from LA to Santa Barbara . The
private jet reservations are being handled by Uniglobe Dazey Travel in Las
Vegas, Nevada , by an arrangement with Santa Monica based XtraJet.
Celebrities' ticket requests and passes will be issued starting on
Wednesday September 10th, 2003 at noon.
To clarify some media inquiries;
There is no celebrity wedding scheduled to take place on the property
during the event.
Names of celebrities who have requested tickets or will be present during
the event will continue to remain private, in keeping with the policy of the
party.
Other events will feature a tribute to Romero Britto, "Songs of Oneness"
concert, and check presentations by Michael Jackson to Oneness, The
Make-A-Wish Foundation and E Ai Como E Que Fica.
Oneness, a national non-profit organization located in Calabasas,
California , has as its mission the "elimination of racism and promotion of
racial unity through music, the arts and education". Founded in 1999, Oneness
has produced dozens of programs to implement their mission including
multicultural after-school programs, plays, lectures, concerts and more.
Oneness thanks Michael Jackson for supporting its efforts to promote unity
among all people through music the arts and education.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with
life-threatening medical conditions.
