Daikaku Chodoin, 68, is the founder and president of
the United World Karate Association, which combines all five iemoto (the
traditional branches of the martial art) with an estimated 50 million
practitioners around the world. A kyuudan (9th degree black belt) of
Goju-ryu, one of Okinawa ’s “hard-soft” karate styles, Chodoin is a fearless
fighter who thrives on going to battle both on and off the dojo floor.
His winning streak began in his 20s: He first struck gold with shipbuilding and later made a killing with real estate and stocks. He has used his vast fortune to fight racial discrimination and supported revolutionary movements in Africa, South America and the Middle East .

In 1985 Chodoin established the World
Black Congress in order to unite Africans and that same year he created the
Society of International Outer Space Law to draw up a legal framework that
would give all nations equal right to space. Chodoin’s desire to heal and save
the world struck a chord with Michael Jackson: Since their first meeting in
1997, The King of Pop and the King of karate got along royally. In 1998,
Chodoin presented Michael with the Honorary Chairmanship of the United World
Karate Association and a godan (fifth degree) black belt.

Jul.24 ,1998- TOKYO JAPAN
He arrived at Narita Airport by UA airline at 3:45 pm. And he appeared in public at 4:30 pm. Some fans could hand present to him. He wore black jacket, white v neck T-shirt, and black hat, no glasses. And he smiled and waved his hands. People went crazy and screamed "Mike!! Mike!!." He rode a black benz. And went to hotel. Many fans were following him. He entered from back door. Then he went up his room 10 floor. And he looked out of the window. Many fans were screaming "Mike! Mike! Mike! Mike! Show me your face please! " He gave his pirrow with message to fan. He had dinner at "Star Hill " Chinese Restaurant.

He visited one company in Tokyo afternoon. Next he appeared press conference of "1998 Kick Boxing Chanpion Carnival Allstar Match." It was held in room Kokyuden of Korakuenhanten. He loved Karate. He was given a position of honorary president of World Karate Federation(WKF) and honoraly 5 classes from president Daikaku Choudoin of WKF. "This time, we(WKF) have decided on him to be honorly president of our WKF. Also we gave a position of honorary 5 classes to Mike that loved Karate. And he'll show Karate forms at Allstar Match in Oct.,1998." said Choudoin. "He is very strong from now." said Chodoin. And Mike wore a suit for Karate practice. His name was marked on it in japanese. Then he went to "DANTE" to eat dinner with persons concerned. He ate vegetable dish. After 2 hours, he backed to hotel.

He cancelled all shopping. But he showed his baby to fan at the window. Sometimes he looked out of the window. And waved his hand and showed peace sign many times. Fans screamed "Stop filty press" or "We love you, Mike!!!!!"

He went out hotel at 11:30 am. And he went to hotel Okura to announce his plan. He established Michael Jackson Japan Co., Ltd. And he build two complex of hotel, golf links, restaulant in Japan . And build one complex in Guam . Also he will open first " Wonder Land "in Japan untill Sep.1999. It is including theme park, toy store for children. And it will be build in the world. The profits will be used for children all over the world. During his music was aired, he moved his head and body. Then he visit to Aoyama Book Cneter(24hours), Kamera no Doi(Electric), Tower Record in Shibuya. And back to Capitol Tokyu Hotel to change his clothes. Again he went to Hotel Okura to appeare "Karate Olympic Party." He made speech some times on the stage. Fans said "Mike, I love you!!." He smiled at fans. And he had dinner - Japanese Sushi or orange juice. Then he went to Lunapark.
